Tri Sigma is dedicated to helping our national philanthropy as well as several local projects. In the spring semester we hold the Woman and Men of Character pageant to raise money for the Sigma Sigma Sigma foundation. In 2015 we raised over $1000 for the philanthropy with this event alone.
We also help with and run a variety of local philanthropy endeavors throughout the school year.
One of the largest projects we work with locally is Project Linus. The goal of Project Linus is to provide blankets to children in need. Hand made tie-blankets are made and are given to hospitalized children in Kentucky and local impoverished areas of Eastern and Central Kentucky. We host multiple events per year to make dozens of these blankets to be distributed across the state.
We were happy to introduce Trunk-Or-Treat to students at Rodburn Elementary! Sisters got together, dressed up, and handed out candy to students. This event wasn't done alone! We had help from other sororities and fraternities! We also were able to participate in Rodburn's Fall festival. Sisters dressed up again and helped by selling tickets and concessions. We are always happy to give back to our community.
